'08 Rice-SMU week Rice Player Parents' Association slates pre-game Owl Walk, staring with first home game vs. SMU This, from the Player Parents' Assocation..... OWL WALK Please plan to arrive on Friday afternoon no later than 4:45. The Owls will be arriving at the stadium between 5:00 and 5:15 PM and youll want to be a part of the Owl Walk. Lets line the sidewalks on both sides from University to the stadium and let our team know how we feel about them. The team will arrive at the corner of University and West Lot 5 near RV parking. We are working to get members of the MOB and each of the colleges to attend and participate. Please forward this message to everyone you know and help us get as many people as possible there when the Owls arrive! Come on out to the Extra Point Club dinners Brett Wagner announces that a limited number of remaining Extra Point Club single-dinner tickets (and season tickets) are available. Singles can be picked up at the door for $25 each, the evening of the event. EPC dinners will be held every Monday during season (except after open dates); Owl Club Room doors open at 5:30 pm, dinner at 6:00. Here's the blurb from Rice Sports Admin: Extra Point Club Announces Schedule
The Rice Extra Point Club will again sponsor their "Dinner with Coach" each Monday night of the 2007 season, but this year's dinner will have the added attraction of seeing the Owls practice at the conclusion of the event. Unlike last season, when the Owls practiced on Sundays and took Mondays off, David Bailiff will give his Owls a day off on Sunday and then get back to practice on Monday nights. Prior to those practices, he will dine with the members of the Rice Extra Point Club in the R Room at Rice Stadium. The weekly events will kick off at 5:30 with a cash bar and dinner will be served at 6:00. Each week a different position coach will join us to talk about his players. As always, there will be opportunities for questions and conversations with the coaches. Coach Bailiff has scheduled Monday practices for after the formal program each week. This will allow anyone interested the opportunity to stay and watch practice from the `R' Room or go down to the field for a closer view. With the renovation of Autry Court underway, temporary offices for some staff members have been set up at both ends of the `R' Room. Accordingly, available space for the Extra Point Club dinners is limited. Therefore, reservations will be on a first-come, first-served basis, with payment in advance. The cost will be $240 for Owl Club members for the series of 12 dinners, $300 for non members. On a space-available basis, individual dinners will be $25 each. With the limited capacity, it is expected that advance
purchasers will fill the available space. Orders can be made online through the Owls Ticket Office or by downloading
this form (PDF) and returning it by mail to the address shown.
